2025 Board Member Elections will be Wed September 4th from 6:00 to 7:30 at Stewarts PubEverett Girls Softball is run completely by volunteers! We need families to participate so that Everett Girls Softball can be a great experience for our players and their families. Be a part of creating great memories, building confidence and creating the next generation of Everett Softball Players. If you are interested in becoming more involved or know someone who would be a great addition to the board, please submit a nomination for a Board Member position for the 2025 season.
All board positions are open. Please see descriptions below for each position.
Election Process
1. NominationsBoard Members must be nominated by a member in good standing* either in writing or in person. Current Nominations will be posted to this page as they are accepted.
Written Nominations - must be sent to

pm on Monday Sept 2nd. - email must include the nominees first and last name and phone number. The nominee's email would also be appreciated.

6pm on Tuesday Sept 3rd. - nominees do not need to be present at the election meeting
In Person Nominations - must be made at the election meeting between
6:00 pm and 6:15 pm.

6:15 pm
2. Voting - Voting will be conducted by means of a secret ballet between
6 pm and 7:30 pm.
- Voting is only permitted by members in good standing*
- Each member in good standing is permitted only one vote
- Virtual voting may be done by sending your votes to
[email protected] Please be sure to include both the name of the person you are voting for as well as the position. Virtual votes (initial and any changes) must be received
NO LATER THAN 7 PM on Tuesday Sept 3rd.
*A member in good standing includes current board members, coaches, parent or legal guardian of registered player (who has paid registration).

Description of Board Member Positions
1. President (2 Year Term)
- Exercise general supervision and ensure EGSL business is conducted in accordance with the by-laws.
- Call Board Meetings
- Conduct Background checks for all league volunteers (including coaches)
- Purchase and maintain insurance
- Prepare the season schedule for all League games
2. Vice President (2 Year Term)
- In the absence of the President, perform all duties of the President
- Develop and organize fundraising activities throughout the year with the assistance of a Fundraising Committee.
- Organize plans for the annual banquet,
- Order Team uniforms
3. Secretary (2 Year Term)
- Maintain By-laws, Standing Rules and all League Rules of EGSL
- Responsible for printing all forms and documents
- Maintain official EGSL member register
- Maintain team rosters
4. Treasurer (2 Year Term)
- Responsible for banking and disbursing all EGSL funds
- Maintain Financial Records
- Make books available for audit, upon request
- Prepare budgets
5. League Coordinator (1 Year Term)
- Preside at all Coaches meetings
- Provide coordinators with Standing Rules, League Rules, and ASA Rules
- Set up player assessments
- Prepare and distribute pre-season and season practice schedules
- Notify umpires when games are rescheduled or canceled
- Enforce and Interpret Standing Rules and ASA rules
6. Major League Coordinator (1 Year Term)
- Main contact for Major League Coaches, Players, and Parents
- Provide Major League coaches with Standing Rules, League Rules, and ASA Rules
- Announce and conduct player assessment tryouts for all players moving up to Major League
- Distribute practice and game schedules to Major League coaches
- Assist the Equipment manager with distribution and collection of equipment
- Enforce and Interpret Standing Rules and League Rules
7. Minor League Coordinator (1 Year Term)
- Main contact for Minor League Coaches, Players, and Parents
- Provide Minor League coaches with Standing Rules, League Rules, and ASA Rules
- Distribute practice and game schedules to Minor League coaches
- Assist the Equipment manager with distribution and collection of equipment
- Enforce and Interpret Standing Rules and League Rules
8. Farm League Coordinator (1 Year Term)
- Main contact for Farm League Coaches, Players, and Parents
- Provide Farm coaches with Standing Rules, League Rules, and ASA Rules
- Distribute practice and game schedules to Farm League coaches
- Assist the Equipment manager with distribution and collection of equipment
- Enforce and Interpret Standing Rules and League Rules
9. Fields and Equipment Manager (1 Year Term)
- Prepare fields and equipment budget
- Responsible for purchasing, issuing, collecting, and storing all EGSL equipment.
- Act as safety advisor for all fields and equipment
- Submit inventory and condition report of all equipment owned or operated by EGSL
10. Public Relations Director (1 Year Term)
- Handle all publicity and keep the public informed of Association activities by utilizing all available means of media
- Oversee the production of EGSL flyers, posters, and all other printed material along with the secretary
- Organize Association participation in community activities
11. Concessioner (1 Year Term)
- Shop and maintain concession stand
- Set schedule for concession to ensure always covered
- Umpire payment and disperse game balls and bases
- Compile and maintain League team standings
